Announcing K825B/UnivATE Upgrades

UnivATE Universal Automatic Test Equipment

The K825B/UnivATE™ Test Stand has been enhanced to include self test capability and dual boot for DOS and Windows.

1.  Adapter Self-Test Capability ensures fast and easy identification of intermittent faults within the UnivATE’s adapters. Troubleshooting is simplified and the self-test confirms whether or not the problem is due to a faulty adapter. The adapter self-test eliminates the risk of returning a faulty unit back into service. It minimizes costly delays of flights due to aircraft on ground (AOG) conditions.

2.  visExec Upgrade and Data Analysis K825B/UnivATE customers can now utilize dual-boot system executives that allow operation of both MegaBasic (DOS) and visExec™ (Windows) modes. Users can install the latest test software onto their test stand for current and future component testing, while still being able to run legacy software. Upgrades that allow a dual-boot executive for operation in both Windows 98™ and Windows XP™ are available when applicable. Avtron recommends a one (1) week startup for these upgrades.

Software Assisted Data Analysis is also included. Users can analyze test results to identify the source of a component problem. This ensures units are quickly returned to service, increasing uptime.

Contact your Avtron Aerospace, Inc regional sales manager for further information on all of the K825B/UnivATE upgrades.

Avtron Supplies Equipment for Boeing 787 Production

Avtron will be supplying multiple hydraulic test systems for the new Boeing 787 production line in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. They include portable and stationary equipment solutions from the H100 and H400 Series of hydraulic products. Some equipment will be used to perform computer controlled hydraulic 'flush’ of the 787 wings and fuselage. This equipment will ensure the major 787 sections have uncontaminated hydraulic systems before final 787 assembly occurs. Additional equipment will be used to perform hydraulic full system tests following final 787 assembly. These tests will ‘exercise’ the various 787 hydraulic systems up to 5,000 PSI. Avtron has been a supplier to Boeing for over 40 years and is proud to be a contributor to the continued success of Boeing and the future success of the 787 program.
