Avtron Supplies Equipment for Boeing 787 Production |
^ Back to Top |
Avtron will be supplying multiple hydraulic test systems for the new Boeing 787 production line in Seattle,
Washington, U.S.A. They include portable and stationary equipment solutions from the H100 and H400 Series of hydraulic products. Some
equipment will be used to perform computer controlled hydraulic 'flush’ of the 787 wings and fuselage. This equipment will
ensure the major 787 sections have uncontaminated hydraulic systems before final 787 assembly occurs. Additional
equipment will be used to perform hydraulic full system tests following final 787 assembly. These tests will ‘exercise’ the various 787 hydraulic systems up to 5,000 PSI.
Avtron has been a supplier to Boeing for over 40 years and is proud to be a contributor to the continued success of Boeing and the future success of the 787 program.

Avtron recently shipped hydraulic pump test equipment
to Boeing's 787 lab in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.
The new Avtron Drive Stands are part of our H500
series product line. The equipment will be used to perform crucial tests on
787 hydraulic pumps in a lab environment. The lab will provide critical data
on flight component reliability and assist in 787 system integration. The
lab will also provide many decades of support to Boeing 787 customers
worldwide.

Avtron is proud to announce the recent
assignment of National Stock Numbers (NSN) to its hydraulic component
test products.
H264 Hydraulic Component Test Stand
– NSN 4920-01-529-4372
The H264 Hydraulic
Red Oil Test Stand (NSN: 4920-01-529-4372) is capable of testing servo
cylinders, servo load control valves, integrated servo actuators and
many other hydraulic components for military aircraft such as the F-16,
F-15, C-130, etc, at the intermediate and depot level. The H264 utilizes
the Avtron ADAS listed below for full control and data acquisition.
Avtron Data Acquisition System –
NSN 4920-01-529-4368
The H700D Avtron Data Acquisition System or
ADAS
(TM)
(NSN: 4920-01-529-4368) is a computerized “front end” for existing test
equipment or new Avtron hydraulic test equipment. The ADAS is designed
for manual, semi-automatic, and automatic control as well as data
acquisition for a wide variety of hydraulic, power generation, pneumatic
and fuel component test applications. Real-time graphical user interface
uses National Instruments LabVIEW
(TM) and Windows XP
(TM)
software for point-and-click user operation and programming. The ADAS
provides test reports in graphical and matrix form stored electronically
or with hard copies on a provided color printer.

ARNG Buys Avtron Test Systems, Two for Field Deployment

New
containerized test stands recently delivered to ARNG for
field deployment.

Control Console (right). |
The US Army National Guard (ARNG) placed a large order for seven Avtron test systems to enhance the support
capabilities of their Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD) maintenance shops.
The first system – delivered in August 2006 – is a K735B Universal Control Panel Test Set, shipped with a host of
adapter sets.
The next two systems were shipped in December 2006, and are self-powered by diesel engine driven generators. They are
housed in 20 foot containers for optimal field deployment. These containerized test systems are used as remotely fielded test resources for
supporting helicopters that actively facilitate the Army’s wide ranging missions.
These systems are housed in climate-controlled containers for operation in demanding environments.

Cost-Effective Avtron Test Equipment - Preferred Choice of MRO Industry
|

Model
K838AT-500 System |
Two recent IDG/CSD and Generator test stand contract awards received by
Avtron further demonstrate that Avtron test systems continue to be the equipment of choice for the commercial aerospace
MRO industry.
Triumph Accessory Services (TAS) selected Avtron for its
extensive knowledge, experience, and superior customer support.
Integrated Drive
Systems (IDS) in Miami, FL chose Avtron to upgrade the serviceable
portion of the existing test stand hardware with the versatile Avtron
Model K838AT control system. Avtron's approach saved IDS money by
reusing the existing “good iron”, such as motor, gearbox, and lube
system, while vastly improving future supportability and system
reliability with modern control electronics. This is similar to Avtron’s
other popular test stand upgrade packages, such as the K738-XL and
K400B-XL.

Group for complete support in selecting cost-effective test equipment
