Avtron Helidyne™ Resistors are designed for low current industrial applications from 2 to 21 amps continuous with natural convection cooling. Even higher capacity is possible for intermittent duty applications or by adding forced-air cooling. (Consult factory for your specific application.) The unique spiraled design allows for superior cooling since much of the resistor element is exposed to the air. Typical applications include dynamic braking, process heating, and load banks.

Avtron Helidyne Resistors can be supplied preassembled with panel mount brackets, or fully assembled with protective  indoor or outdoor enclosures. These enclosures are also compatible with Avtron Wirewound Resistors and Avtron Edgewound Resistors. Optional thermal switches, wiring, and control systems are also available.
