Avtron's digital electric drives, drive controllers, process diagnostic monitoring systems and encoders are utilized extensively for Ironmaking, Steelmaking, Casting, Hot/Cold Rolling and Finishing Applications in the metals industries.

Avtron drive and automation systems have increased the performance, reliability and safety of Blast Furnace Skip Hoists, BOF Vessel Tilts, Continuous Casters, Hot and Cold Rolling Mills, Plate Mills, and Temper Mills. Additionally, Avtron has upgraded Pickle Lines, Tension Leveling Lines, Coating and Slitting Lines. In the area of long products, Avtron has enhanced Bar/Rod Mills and Seamless Tube Mills.

Avtron specializes in retrofitting obsolete G.E. (General Electric) drive systems such as the Silcomatic, Silco, Silco I, Silco II, Silco+, Siltrol, Siltrol+, Analog/Hybrid/Digital Siltron, DC300 and DC2000 Drives. We also have experience in retrofits of Reliance drive systems such as the VStar, MaxPak, FlexPak, Spindle Drive, and AutoMAX(tm) system. Avtron has also successfully upgraded other drive manufacturers including Ansaldo, Electroflyte, Harland-Simons, Robicon, Westinghouse, Siemens, and ABB.
