By introducing a high performance Ethernet network into the
Reliance Electric AutoMax
environment, the Avtron NetMax AutoMax Ethernet module can open up communications
doors not available until now. Some of the challenges of industrial networking
include vendor interoperability, noise immunity, and ease of use. Today’s
industrial Ethernet environment requires communications to many different
vendors and devices. That is where NetMax AutoMax Ethernet module can help.
It supports multiple, simultaneous industrial protocols for Ethernet,
and can connect your AutoMax systems onto different Ethernet networks. PLC’s,
HMI’s, DCS’s, data loggers, or even drives can be connected to the NetMax
AutoMax Ethernet module, allowing NetMax to extend the life of
Reliance Electric AutoMax and
create even more value in an already installed base.
Ethernet communications with the NetMax AutoMax Ethernet
module can be made either through a 10/100BASE T or a built-in 100BASE FX
fiber optic connection. Because an AutoMax can exist
in many harsh communication environments, a fiber optic Ethernet port built onto the NetMax will allow for noise-free operation.
Since the AutoMax enjoys a large installed base in many critical industries, set up
of the NetMax AutoMax Ethernet module has been made quite easy. In the event
of a catastrophic failure, getting your communications and processes back up
quickly is important. With ease of replacement in mind, the NetMax AutoMax
Ethernet module does not require special software to configure, and can be set
up for fast, easy replacement. Also available is the
VME Ethernet module.
