Upgrades
| Our thoughts used to be “if it ain't
broke, don’t fix it”. That comment used to make sense, however,
as the world changes at an ever increasing pace, there are more
circumstances that require upgrading. Avtron has a reputation and
history of supporting equipment that we have designed and
built. We still have equipment in operation that is 30-40 years
old. We support that aging equipment, but at what cost to the customer?
Many of the sub components, IC’s, computer parts were manufactured by
others and are no longer available or are prohibitively expensive. At an
ever increasing pace, it appears as though computer and HMI/MMI
components are going obsolete. Who has parts available or can support
“XT or AT” vintage PC’s? It is also becoming important sometimes to
upgrade system software so that commonality of equipment throughout a
plant exists. Human labor also becomes an issue as younger generation
engineers, technicians, and electricians no longer know how to operate a
computer unless they can point and click, DOS, what’s DOS?
Each situation is unique. We do not advocate
upgrades for the sake of change, however we do recommend them to keep
the customer equipment and systems to level where they can be
effectively and economically maintained. |

ADDAPT (ADDvantage-32 Application Programming
Tools) 2000 Software Package per Specification ADD-32.7. Compatible with WIN
2000, WIN NT, and WIN 98 operating systems.
SOFTWARE CONSISTS
OF THREE PACKAGES:
- Up/Download Package: Setup and maintenance
window to the ADDvantage-32 Digital Drives. Includes Upload, download and
storage of calibration and configuration data to hard or floppy disk.
- Signal Analysis Package: Upload, save,
export, and display stored analyzer traces from the drives.
- Real-Time Screen
Package: Real-time display and entry of process variables.
