Recent upgrades to the UnivATE/K825B system include – Adapter Self Test Capability allows users to automatically verify the functionality and calibration of adapters. Hours spent manually calibrating test adapters are eliminated increasing production.

Two Computer System – UnivATE’s two modern, rugged, industrial PC computers provide speed and reliability. The two computer advantage is complete separation of complex, time-dependent communications chores from time-critical test control processes. Separating these functions greatly simplifies the software and makes upgrades to new computers, hard drives, peripherals, and software, easy. The result? UnivATE STAYS modern, up-to-date, and modular.

Plenty of Room for the Future – UnivATE allows up to 36 inches (92 cm) of standard rack space for additional programmable equipment – enough for up to eight additional power supplies, meters, waveform generators, or instrument-on-a-card devices. With additional racks, UnivATE’s modular expandability is unlimited.

Avtron-Built Test Resources Are Higher Quality and Last Longer – UnivATE is much higher quality than rack and stack test sets. To provide lower distortion, Avtron builds higher quality AC power supplies than can be purchased from laboratory power supply manufacturers. The Avtron programmable AC supplies are more stable, modular in design, and lower in cost than commercial off the shelf AC power supplies. More important, the Avtron-built test resources can be supported for many more years resisting obsolescence.

Durable – UnivATE’s rugged, attractive appearance greatly improves system usefulness. Transparent doors protect instruments from damage while greatly reducing the noise level for operators and technicians. Heat is exhausted through the top, where shop ventilation is most efficient.
Designed to meet testing needs for present and future aircraft components, UnivATE is easier to use and more accurate than its predecessors, and is compatible with a wide range of existing Avtron interface adapters.

Industry Leading Communication – UnivATE is capable of multi-channel ARINC 429, 629, RS485, RS422, IEEE-488, and MIL-STD-1553 communications and testing, permitting the most modern component testing. New communication channels are added as available.

Resources – UnivATE contains 16 channels (typical) of high power AC programmable power and four channels (typical) of programmable DC power.
A wide range of digital I/O, programmable waveform generation, and high accuracy AC, DC, Ohms, and frequency measurement capabilities are included.
The UnivATE also contains a digital oscilloscope with 32 channel switch card to route signals to the oscilloscope. The industry-standard main connector is conservatively rated for over 25,000 insertion/removals – the best in the industry.
